A Superior Metal Hardening Solution

While many hardening methods are frequently used, including thermal spray coatings, boronizing achieves a wear layer with greater hardness than alternative methods.

The risk of spalling and fracturing has traditionally limited boronizing to a depth of 0.005 in. But now, Bluewater's unique deep-case boronizing solution enables you to remain operational longer than the competition, with parts hardened deeper to work better and last longer even in the harshest conditions.

Innovative Deep Case Boronizing

For the most extreme environments, Bluewater has developed proprietary deep-case boronizing ability. Multiple field studies have shown that parts treated using this process regularly “outperform conventionally borided parts with shallower boride layers in several applications including oilfield drilling equipment, industrial pumps, high wear agricultural machinery parts, and ground-engaging tools.”¹ When environmental conditions are at their worst and conditions are rough, deep-case boronizing may provide you with the solution needed to maintain operations while the competition struggles with tools and machinery unable to withstand the elements.
