Industrial Electrical Maintenance Manager

The Maintenance Manager is a working Manager position. Not only is the Maintenance Manager responsible for managing the maintenance department but also responsible for general repairs of production equipment (heat treat furnaces) and associated support equipment, and minor repairs to the physical building. Repairs include installing belts, bearings, chains, etc., troubleshooting and repairing electrical problems in controls, motors and drives. Will need to become familiar with furnace operation. Will become familiar with plant utilities (gas, water, hydro, combustible atmospheres, etc.). Management of daily preventative and responsive maintenance as well as long-term project management is required

  • Must be able to read and troubleshoot electrical blueprints
  • Experience and knowledge of 3 phase electrical
  • Experience and knowledge of control power circuits
  • Must be detail oriented and possess manual dexterity •Must be able to drive a forklift and obtain certification
  • Experience in welding, plasma cutting, etc.
  • General knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics
  • Basic plumbing skills •Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent •Experience: 5+ years in industrial maintenance, heat treat experience desired.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years management experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting
  • Language Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods, bend, and stoop and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Schedule: Must be able to work overtime, any shift and any day; including weekends.
  • Call-in pay provided
  • Work Environment: Manufacturing/Industrial; heat, noise, humidity, cold and fumes.
